Every admin action, as a tool your agent can call
HelmCMS runs a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP. Your assistant signs in with OAuth, you choose what it may do, and it gets the same operations your team uses in the admin.
Part of our guide What is an agentic CMS.

42 tools
Organizations, workspaces, sites, models, entries, versions, media, search and webhooks.
OAuth 2.1 + PKCE
Dynamic client registration and a consent screen with four scopes.
Same rules as people
Every tool calls the same service and permission check as the admin.
01Four scopes, on top of the user's role
A token can never do more than its user. Scopes narrow it further, so an agent you only want to draft can't publish even if its user could.
- cms:read: read everything the user can see
- cms:write: create and update drafts, upload media
- cms:publish: publish, unpublish and delete
- cms:admin: change models, sites, keys, webhooks and members
02Connect in a minute
Copy the MCP URL from Settings → Connect AI agent and add it as a remote server in your assistant. Claude Code connects with one command. The assistant opens a HelmCMS sign-in page, you approve the scopes, and it can start.
03Tools written for agents
Tool descriptions explain the steps an agent needs, such as the three-step direct upload or how to build pages from blocks, so agents get it right the first time.

Questions
Which assistants work?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth sign-in, for example Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Clients that only accept a static token are not supported yet.
Can I revoke an agent's access?
Yes. Tokens are managed by the OAuth server and can be revoked; removing the user's membership also removes the agent's access to that scope.
